Midline

What happens when your data replaces the sample

What Midline does when the data is longer, shorter or emptier than the sample:

Fixed page furniture Never grows, never moves

the foot rule carrying the company footer and the folio, centred (fixed height — nothing in it may grow)

Repeats per record One block per row of your data

order lines (table rows; header repeats on page break); one fact cell per filled field; one ladder row per tax group; the three signature fields

Grows with your data Absorbs long values without breaking

the sender lines; the customer and delivery address blocks; each order-line description; the terms and conditions note

Pinned to every page Holds position across page breaks

the foot rule sits at the page bottom on every page

Order on the page What sits after what

the sender, title and facts open the first page; the parties follow; the order-line table follows the parties; the totals after the table; the note after the totals; the acceptance block last

Page breaks What may split, what must not

the order-line table may split across pages with its header repeated; the totals and the acceptance block must not

Last page How the document ends

the totals, the note and the acceptance block may occupy the final page alone; the foot rule carries it
