Quiet Folio

What happens when your data replaces the sample

What Quiet Folio does when the data is longer, shorter or emptier than the sample:

Fixed page furniture Never grows, never moves

the foot rule carrying the company footer, order number and folio (fixed height — nothing in it may grow)

Repeats per record One block per row of your data

order lines (table rows; the column heads repeat on page break); tax-group rows in the totals; note paragraphs in the column stream

Grows with your data Absorbs long values without breaking

vendor address; order facts; item descriptions; the receiving, note and acceptance paragraphs

Pinned to every page Holds position across page breaks

the foot rule sits at the page bottom on every page

Order on the page What sits after what

masthead, title, vendor and facts first; line table full width; totals after the table; the two-column stream after the totals; signatures last

Page breaks What may split, what must not

the line table may split across pages; the totals and the signature pair are atomic; the column stream is balanced and moves whole unless it outgrows a page, when it fills left before right and paginates

Last page How the document ends

totals, column stream and signatures may occupy the final page alone; the foot rule carries it
